I’m going to be on TV

I’m going to be on Up With Chris Hayes this Sunday morning, sometime between 8 and 10. Not sure yet on the specifics, so check back in.

Update (5 pm)

Looks like I’ll be on between 8:40 and 9:05. But these things can change, so…

When it’s up on the web, would you post a link for those of us not in broadcast range of US TV? Thanks!

That’s great! If Ross Douthat is there, try not to breathe near him.

The link will be up around 10:00 am, PT at http://upwithchrishayes.msnbc.com.

Indeed, Corey, please do. Right now (11 AM Sun) looks like they only have Steels’s segment, and a piece of the roundtable w/ Joan Walsh. Please post as soon as you have it. Your adoring fans (and suck-up grad students) wait w/ baited breath.

in light of your comments on labour rights, I thought you might enjoy a Leonard Cohen rendition of a Pete Seeger song.

ugh..I could get through only one and a half segments. I can’t believe I and people of my generation (I’m mid 50s) watched as much news and public affairs television as we did – and in real time! OUCH. The Sunday Shows, the Night of the Living Dead on Friday nights on PBS, the News Hour, etc. etc. All of it is and has always been not only mostly fake in terms of real news (and also, as Cockburn rightly pointed out, almost provocatively boring), but the medium itself is ridiculously un-conducive to clear thought or learning. In a word, for news, politics, history, teevee really really sucks.

I stopped watching any of this kind of Product on tv about 10-15 years ago, and I have no tolerance for it now, even when there’s someone I want to see. CR: you were good the couple times I saw you speak.

You know, people wonder how our electorate (and others I’m sure) can be so thick about basic facts, but watch a little tv and it’s no longer any wonder at all.

I was afraid that you might be too professorial to be interesting on the show, but you were *great*. I can’t imagine the producers won’t be eager to have you back for the whole show. On the other hand, it was hard to take Sophia Nelson and her deceptive “moderation.” Even by the relatively high standards of Up, you were a highlight.

I actually didn’t think he was particularly professorial, if that word means quiet, diffuse, boring. He was forceful, concise and interesting, particularly in the last segment of the ’round table’ about Dems moronically volunteering to be the conservatives in the country – the ‘austerians’.

It’s just the stuff around him, including Chris H., frankly, who I know was trying to be educational or something, but…gack.

I must not have been clear. I was afraid that he would be too professorial, but he wasn’t; instead, he was great. He was a real scrapper. I wonder if he boxed in college. Harry Reid did.

Frank, I misread your comment. sorry about that. You were clear. I was blind.

Well done as always, I just wish your part could’ve been the whole two hours: And I am not even a graduate student trying to suck up. Keep up the good work.
